The President shall preside at all meetings of the Board. The President shall sign any instruments or documents, which may lawfully be executed on behalf of the Board.
In case of the absence or disability of the President, or at his/her request, the Vice- President shall perform all of the duties of the President. The Vice-President shall perform such duties and have such authority as from time to time may be assigned by the President or the Board.
The Secretary shall maintain official minutes and records of the proceedings of the Board. The Secretary shall arrange for mailings of official correspondence. The Secretary shall also perform other duties and have such authority as shall from time to time be assigned by the President or Board. The Secretary shall maintain records of the Proceedings of the International Coach Federation Greater Austin Charter Chapter, and have the binder present at all meetings of the Board. The records shall include meeting agendas, minutes, policies, procedures, Board decisions, guidelines, Financial Reports and other proceedings of the Board.
Immediately following elections, the Secretary shall send a list of all current elected officers and members of the Board to the Chapter Coordinator at icfchapters @ coachfederation.org along with the current address of the chapter for receiving rebates. The ICF office should receive this at least two (2) weeks before the end of the quarter.
The Treasurer shall perform the organization’s official financial transactions and keep accurate books of the organization’s accounts. The Treasurer will submit financial reports at each board meeting for review and approval by the voting majority of the board. The Treasurer will also submit an annual Chapter financial report to the ICF within thirty (30) days of the Chapter’s designated end of the fiscal year. In addition, the Treasurer will give a financial report no less than once every six (6) months.
The Communications Director is responsible for coordinating and/or maintaining any Chapter presence on the Internet. This may include, but is not limited to, a Chapter website, Chapter Referral Coach Service, or other web-based sites as determined necessary by the Board of Directors. The Communications Director cannot incur or agree to any Chapter financial or service liability or contract without a majority vote of the Board of Directors.
The Membership Director’s responsibilities include: canvassing members for programming needs, providing member benefit information to new members; creating an annual (or as determined by the Board) survey of the membership, leading an annual membership drive, and corresponding with potential new members.
The Community Outreach Director is responsible for: connecting ICF Austin Charter Chapter coaches and resources to the local community. Our mission is to "give back" in ways that are transformative and raise the visibility of the chapter and the coaching profession. Activities may include, but are not limited to, pro bono laser and regular coaching at local non-profits, conferences, and other areas where a need has been determined.
The Business Alliance Director is responsible for the coordination of efforts that raise the visibility of the coaching profession through the engagement of Community Leaders, potential sponsors, potential new members and allied professions that can be served by or serve the Chapter membership.
The Director at Large will focus on an area of particular importance to the chapter or serve in a general at-large capacity as needed.
