Mindful Self-Compassion
Self-compassion is essential to the process of human change.  Based on the groundbreaking research of Dr. Kristin Neff, from the University of Texas, Austin and the clinical perspective of Dr. Chris Germer, clinical professor from Harvard Medical School, Mindful self compassion teaches skills and practices to help people mange and respond to life's difficulties with kindness and understanding.  Our speaker Beth Block is certified in the Mindful Self-Compassion approach and will lead a highly interactive session to help us experience the techniques and use them with our coaching clients.

About our speaker Beth Block:

Beth Block, LMFT, is a licensed Marriage and Family therapist.  She received her Masters in Counseling Psychology from The California Institute of Integral Studies, a program that integrates Eastern and Western approaches to depth psychology. Beth incorporates self-compassion and mindfulness in her psychotherapeutic work with clients. She is certified in the Mindful Self-Compassion approach developed by Dr. Kristin Neff at The University of Texas (which has been featured in Brene Brown's The Daring Way work).
