Fully Awake – Understanding How Our Beliefs Drive Our Behavior

Each of us have deeply held beliefs that guide our thoughts, feelings and actions.  Some of these are conscious, many are unconscious.  As coaches we want to be more ‘fully awake’ to these beliefs, or mental models, that influence what we take in and how we show up in the world and with our clients.   In this highly experiential session, led by Austin ICF members Sheila Buechler and Yvonne Ingalls, you will use yourself as a ‘learning instrument’ to become more aware of your own mental models and what it’s like to uncover them, then we’ll explore how you can do this with your clients to help them uncover theirs.

Our goals for this session include:

  • Expanding your awareness of your mental models and how they impact your behavior
  • Help you recognize the felt experience of uncovering your mental models
  • Bring compassion to the process of discovering of your own and others’ mental models
  • Deepen your connections with the Austin coaching community
