  • Non ICF-Local Member, Non ICF-Global Member. You do not have to be a member of ICF to join our meetings - all are welcome. There is a $20 fee to attend, payable online via PayPal, Credit or Debit card during the registration process.

EVENT DESCRIPTION

Since its launch in 2019, CoachUT has paired almost 700 future leaders with professional development coaches for a total of over 4,000 hours of coaching. Over the course of five one-on-one meetings, CoachUT students, with the guidance of their coaches, define their leadership goals and craft a tailored plan to achieve themThe timing of this program is critical, as it reaches students at the stage of life where it is most likely to influence the trajectory of their futures. Join CoachUT program coordinator, Rachel Cohen-Ford, CoachUT implementer and coach, Kelley Russell-DuVarney, and former CoachUT participant,  Maria Yasir Shuping, as they share the program’s history and impact, as well as discuss what the future of higher education could look like if coaching were included.


ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Rachel Cohen-Ford (she/they) serves as an Assistant Director for Texas Leadership Education and Development at UT Austin. In this role, she oversees the Summer Internship Program and CoachUT, programs designed to empower students to accomplish their goals and gain career readiness. She facilitates workshops on overcoming imposter phenomenon, gaining leadership confidence, and increasing self-efficacy. They earned their bachelor’s degree in English and master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Policy from UT Austin. She firmly believes in radical kindness, a philosophy that encourages wholehearted compassion to others, whether they are strangers or friends. 

Rachel is a self-proclaimed nerd. They love escape rooms, Dungeons & Dragons, and playing any manner of board and video games.

EVENT DETAILS  

  • 6:00PM-6:30PM Coaches chat!
  • 6:30PM–8:00PM Program and presentation
  • Zoom Call - You will receive the link in your confirmation email.
*Come at 6 PM to chat with other coaches! You'll be diverted to a breakout room with 3-4 other coaches who are also ready to have a conversation and network. A great way to form your coaching connections and community!
